OB/GYN INFERTILITY PA or NP: EL PASO, TX
This is a unique opportunity for a physician assistant or nurse practitioner who desires to be an expert in the subspecialty of infertility in OB/GYN. This is a full time position that will train the physician extender in ultrasound, hysteroscopy, minor gyn surgery, insemination techniques and other specifics related to OB/Gyn infertility patients. Willing to train new graduates who have excellent manual dexterity, love procedures and have the personality to meet the demands of the job.
The patients in this specialty practice have already exhausted their options through primary OB/GYN practices. Most patients are frustrated, scared and in great need of reassurance about achieving their life dream of bearing children. The advanced practice provider (APP) must be empathetic but also emotionally steadfast. You will be guiding patients through an emotionally charged experience.
Patients are followed from the initiation of infertility treatment to 10 weeks into the pregnancy. Once the pregnancy is well established, the patient will follow up with their regular OB/GYN. During the first 10 weeks, the APP will be available for after hours phone calls for their patients. The calls are not frequent, but patients in this type of practice can be anxious and need immediate phone contact with the provider. The right APP will understand this and embrace this concierge style of practice.
Clinic hours are M-F from 7:30-4:30. Occasional weekends are required, but week day compensation time will be provided on either side of the weekend worked. Excellent starting salary with excellent room for growth once training is complete. As competency grows, so will earnings.
